  Parish Weekend 2012
Cloverley Hall: 28-30 September 2012

Where are you going with God? How do you feel about your faith? What is God saying to our church? How is he calling us to grow and change? This special Parish Weekend is for relaxation, conversation, worship, growing and learning for all ages.

The weekend is open to members of our three churches in Sheriffhales, Shifnal and Tong, and will be a chance to relax together, get to know one another better, but most of all to grow in our faith and discipleship as followers of Jesus.

“I hope you will consider coming to Cloverley Hall in 2012 to see what God has in store for us - book now to secure your place.  Chris Thorpe

  Authentic Discipleship
Being God’s People In Today’s World

We long for a faith that is real, for a faith that is alive and growing, for a sense of God's presence in our lives, and God's calling in our hearts. We long to be disciples of Jesus, to know that we are following him with our whole selves. We don't want to be going through the motions, treading water, wondering what our faith means to us.

We shall be exploring what it means to be authentic people, not to pretend to be something we are not, but to be true to God, to ourselves and to other people. We shall be looking at our own gifts and talents, the grace of God in us, and how God calls us to use our gifts in transforming the world around us.

Young People

There will be a full programme for our children and young people, facilitated by youth leaders who will accompany us on the weekend, to make sure that our young people feel welcome and valued, and to free parents to enjoy the sessions to the full. Of course families may choose to stay together for everything if they would prefer.
